Federal work study
The Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program is an employment and need-based program subsidized by the federal government that allows students to earn wages in special student employment positions. To apply for FWS, students must submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form no later than March 1 of each year to be considered for a Federal Work-Study Award for the upcoming academic year.
Exciting job opportunities exist both on and off campus for those who are eligible to participate. Positions are available on both the MCV and Monroe Park Campuses, as well as in agencies in the community. Do you want to work as a laboratory aide, an after-school tutor, or a marketing intern? Do you have an interest in theatre performance or putting your graphics design skills to use? Whether you are looking for experience related to your area of study or just something to help pay the bills, we have a job for you.
It should be noted that while a student may be awarded FWS, there is no guarantee that he or she will find a job.
Special Note: Jobs will be posted by July 25th on HireVCURams.
