Requirements for graduate students
This category of students includes masters, post-masters, doctoral and certain graduate certificate programs.
- The student’s cumulative GPA must be at least a 3.0
- The student earns less than 67% of their overall attempted hours (transfer hours are included)
- The student must not attempt more than 150% of the hours required for their degree program (including transfer and A.P. credit hours)
Example: A student who is in a graduate degree program would be sent a SAP suspension letter at the point his or her cumulative GPA falls below 3.0.
Medical, dental and pharmacy students at the professional level who are required by their academic deans to repeat a year are permitted to continue on financial aid for that year. Students must also meet the GPA requirements of their respective programs in order to maintain financial aid eligibility.
